Amazon Prime sale increased
Previously, Amazon India conducted Dussehra sale from October 1 to 5. The main attraction of the five-day Great Indian Festival was the huge increase in the sale of Amazon Prime subscription service.
The validity of free trial expired on October 1 for the majority of customers. Hence, customers opted to extend the service by paying Rs. 499. Interestingly, Amazon shipped out a welcome kit for all customers who paid for the Amazon Prime service.
According to reports, sales increased three-fold and reached more than 15 million orders six hours before the deals ended. The lightning deals got exhausted quickly.
Amazon expanded to 90 percent destinations in India
Amazon India also expanded the customer base by five times and also received orders from 90 percent of the Pincodes. The company delivered the products through their own Amazon Transportation Services, Bluedart, and other courier partners.
Amazon received 65 percent of the orders from tier-II cities and towns. However, there was a 30-fold increase in orders from tier-III geographies compared to Diwali sale in 2015. Meanwhile, Amazon also sold consumables ranging from washing powder to grocery items.
If you missed the previous sale, then this is the right opportunity to grab premium products at great prices from October 17. Alternatively, if you have Citi bank debit and debit cards, you can avail cash back offers.
