Apple iPad Air 3 release date in October: 9.7-inch display, A10 processor

Apple is reportedly working on to launch iPad Air 3 during October 2016 timeframe. The news comes amidst rumors that the Cupertino-based company will most likely shelve the iPad Air project completely.

If Apple would like to sustain in the competitive marketplace, then 2016 is the optimum year for the company to launch the iPad Air 3. However, the company hasn’t so far confirmed its existence or revealed the rumored specs. This is true because companies will never speculate upon rumors and speculations.

The confident fans of the iPad Air series are hoping that the company will most likely release iPad Air 3 in October. The currently available second-generation iPad Air was launched in October 2014. Hence, it makes great sense if Apple launches the third generation iPad Air in October 2016 if it wants to retain the release timeline.

Meanwhile, Apple recently launched a sale on its iPad Air 2 devices for limited time discounted offer. According to analysts, this is the sign of an imminent release of a new variant of iPad Air.

The main point to note is that why Apple would like to sell iPad Air 2 at a heavily discounted price when a new device is available within the next two months. It doesn’t make any sense since people will never buy an out-dated device. In the meantime, it’s a great chance for budget users to grab the discounted piece to experience the cool features of iOS.

If Apple indeed releases iPad Air 3, it will be the last iPad Air series because of the speculation that Apple will integrate the whole Air line-up with iPad Pro in the upcoming future.

It’s confusing for customers to pick a product if there are several variants of iPad. If the rumors turn out to be true, you should ideally buy either iPad Air 2 or the upcoming iPad Air 3 before Apple abandons the entire iPad Air series.
