Apple has released iPhone SE with a 4-inch display in space grey, silver, gold and rose gold color variants starting at $399 for 16GB and $499 for 64GB respectively.
Loaded with the newly released iOS 9.3, the handset was officially unveiled by Apple’s Greg Joswiak at an event attended by over 500 tech enthusiasts in the company’s Town hall in Cupertino.
Dubbed as the most powerful 4-inch phone ever released by Apple, the iPhone SE, in addition to a 4-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD (640 x 1136; 326 PPI) display, features a 64-bit Apple A9 chipset, Dual-core 1.84 GHz Twister processor, M9 motion coprocessor with the ability to capture videos up to 4K quality.
Moreover, the handset also offers a 12MP iSight camera with Retina Flash paired with a 1.2 MP front-facing camera with FaceTime technology with support for Hey Siri, Apple Pay and 4G LTE.
The main attraction of iPhone SE is its ability to capture panoramas up to 63 MP with an enhanced battery life and faster Wi-Fi than its previous counterparts.
Equipped with a non-removable Li-Po 1642 mAh battery capable of delivering a talk time of 14 hours, the Nano-SIM based iPhone SE features support for all major connectivity features including fingerprint, gyro, proximity, and compass.
A unique feature of the integrated 12MP camera is that it is possible to create live pictures. With the help of TouchID sensor, you will be able to use a print instead of a password and also, use Apple Pay.
In terms of weight, it’s more or less identical to the 5 series at around 113 grams, which is comparatively lower than other high-end smartphones.
Apple iPhone SE Price in India
Apple iPhone SE is expected to be available in India by the first week of April starting at Rs. 39,000, instead of Rs. 30,000 as reported previously.
