Apple sends out media invites for September 9 iPhone 6S, 6S Plus and 6C launch event

As per reports that surfaced earlier this month, Apple is all geared up for the next-gen iPhone launch event on September 9. The media invites have already been sent out for the event that will be held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California. The new devices expected to be launched this time are iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone 6C after the launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which came out earlier.

Live streaming of the launch event will also be rolled out on Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and also for PC users. The market was also abuzz with rumours of a cheaper variant, an iPhone 6C, being launched at this event, but a new report by 9To5Mac now rubbishes all such possibilities.

The “S” series of releases by the company are usually focussed on internal components rather than changes in looks and external features. No changes are therefore expected in the design, screen size and looks of the new devices.

eaked images of upcoming devices from various sources also suggest the same. The proposed devices might come with a 2GB RAM now to make multi-tab browsing easier and faster. Cameras might also get an upgrade. A 12 MP camera and better lens could be on the cards. The devices might come with a Force Touch technology, meaning that they will be able to distinguish between a deep tap and a light press.

In addition to the new handsets, the company might also launch their much awaited and talked about iPad Pro with a screen almost as huge as most modern day laptops.

Rumours of a 12.9-inch screen had first surfaced in 2013 but not much was heard about it till reports.

In early 2015 said that the product had been put on hold until September due to difficulties in procuring the display panel for the larger variant of their hugely popular iPads.

The world is waiting with bated breath to see the new devices while the Cupertino-based manufacturer keeps the cards close to the chest.
