Hamilton starting from pole had an easy day out and won the race with +2.285s ahead of Rosberg. Ferrari driver, Sebastian Vettel starting 18th from the grid finished a remarkable 5th place.

It was bad luck for Kimi Raikonnen as he spun on the 27th lap of the race. It would have been another podium for Ferrari otherwise. Kimi finished 4th allowing countryman and William driver Bottas to sneak in for the 3rd position.

Felip Massa driving for Williams had to content with the 6th position after starting 15th. Team Lotus opened its point tally when Pastor Maldonado finished 7th. It was unfortunate for his team mate Romain Grosjean as his car hit Stevens’ Marussia and losing the 5th place.

Romain finished 10th and was given a 5-second penalty for the incident. He was way ahead of Force India’s Sergio Perez to hold onto the final point.

Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg spun on the 43rd lap as Sebastian Vettel attempted to pass him on the outside. The race stewards later decided it was a racing incident. He managed to finish 8th which also got Force India to be joint 6th position along with Team Sauber in the Constructors standing.

Jenson Button failing to qualifying because of engine troubles had to serve a drive-through penalty within the first three laps. More bad luck followed as he could not finish the race due to an exhaust problem. Mercedes sits comfortably with a lead of 105 points over Ferrari in the constructors table points tally.
