Tamil Nadu announces class 10 result

Students can now finally breathe a sigh of relief as The Directorate of the Government Examination Tamil Nadu (TNDGE) has finally announced the result of Class 10 students. The results were announced at 11 AM today. In comparison to last year, this year’s results have seen a vast improvement. The exam commenced on March 15, and the final paper was on April 13, 2016.

This year, 657,846 students appeared for the examination whereas the overall pass percentage remained 93.6%. In comparison to this, the overall pass percentage for 2015 was 91.8%. TNDGE has put a smile on the faces of a large number of students, who have been patiently waiting for the results for the last two months.

According to reports, two students stood Number 1 by scoring 499 marks. The results were declared at the Chennai Board office, after which it was made available for all the students at the official site of the TNDGE.

Any student, who is finding it a little difficult to search results online, can follow these steps for easy accessibility of the results:

  1. Click on the link of the SSLC April 2016 Results’ on the official website tnresults.nic.in
  2. Enter your details such as admit card number or hall ticket number and other relevant details in the required fields. After that click on the submit button.
  3. Double check the details filled and then take out a printout or download your result.

It is advisable for students to take out the print out of their results till the time the Board does not issue the original documents.

Before this, The Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education also announced the results of the 12 class students, who also fared well in comparison to the last year. For the current year, the overall passing percentage is 91%.
