Elephone S1 3G smartphone with Android Lollipop to be launched for just $70

After the moderately successful S2 and S2 Plus smartphone, Elephone is all set to launch their new 3G smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system in their S series, the Elephone S1 and S1 Plus with a price tag of $70.

The Elephone S1 and S1 Plus will have a 5-inch and 5.5-inch HD display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels respectively. The display will be further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Aiming for a premium style at a budget price, Elephone S1 will feature a metal chassis and will be powered by a Quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 MT6580 chipset.

The smartphone will be equipped with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the device will sport an 8MP rear snapper and a 2MP front-facing camera.

The Elephone S1 and S1 Plus will be packed with 3,200 mAh (removable) Li-ion battery.
