Huawei Y3 II and Y5 II budget smartphones now available officially

Huawei has introduced two new Y-series smartphones, the Y3 II and Y5 II in Rose Pink, Sky Blue, Arctic White, Obsidian Black, and Sand Gold colors. Even though they are listed on the official site, there is no confirmation about its price and availability of both the handsets. The Y3 and Y5 II models are available in two variants – 3G and 4G.

While Huawei Y3 II is equipped with a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) display, the Huawei Y5 II features a 5-inch HD display. On the specifications front, the Huawei Y3 II 3G model is powered by 1.0GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M SoC while the Huawei Y3 II 4G variant packs a 1.0GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M SoC.

In the same way, the Huawei Y5 II 3G model comes with a slightly higher 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 SoC paired with Mali-T720 GPU while the Huawei Y5 II 4G model packs a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P SoC with the same graphics.

Huawei Y3 II

Both Huawei Y3 II and Huawei Y5 II smartphones are equipped with 1GB RAM, 8GB of expandable storage loaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop on top of Emotion UI 3.1. However, Huawei Y3 II features a 5MP main camera coupled with a 2MP front-facing shooter supplemented by a 2,100mAh battery.

The Huawei Y5 II, meanwhile, offers an 8MP main camera with LED flash paired with a 2MP fixed focus front-facing camera with LED flash, which is the main attraction of the handset. A 2,200mAh battery completes the package.

On the connectivity segment, the light-weight Huawei Y3 II, and Huawei Y5 II handsets features WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4, A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and Micro-USB. Expected to be priced below $200, both Huawei Y3 II, and Huawei Y5 II will be available by the end of Q2 2016.
