Jaguar XE Prestige variant launched in India at Rs. 43.69 lakh

Jaguar XE Prestige is the new offering from Jaguar Land Rover India priced at Rs. 43.69 lakh (ex showroom-Mumbai). The British Luxury car is now looking at targeting owners of small and medium enterprises, young professional who are looking at upgrading to Jaguar.

The company recently launched Jaguar EX derivatives called Pure and Portfolio priced respectively at Rs. 39.9 lakh and Rs. 47.7 lakh. The new entry is pegged between them and, like its predecessor is only available in petrol trim as of now. The XE Prestige will target the mass luxury car segment dominated by Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 Series, and Audi A4.

Jaguar EX is powered by 2.0-litre four-cylinder i4 petrol engine, which delivers 197 PS at 5,500 rpm and 320 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm mated to eight-speed automatic transmission. It includes some prominent features like sliding sunroof, leather seats and seat memory, interior moonlighting and also includes a perfect sound system and a 380W Meridian with a rear view camera.

To make the car light and strong at the same time, it’s been designed on a new platform which uses aluminum-intensive architecture using lightweight aluminum monocoque chassis. Jaguar XE has similar features to that of Pure and the Portfolio and comes with the same specification like low-speed cruise control that helps the driver to cope with low traction situations.

Jaguar XE is a combination of Jaguar cutting-edge innovations, technology, and designs. We already have two variants of Jaguar EX derivatives Pure and Portfolio in the market and with the launch of this new product, we are sure of our growing popularity and success.

To make Jaguar more accessible to the public, the company has for over a year been assembling some of its models at Pune thereby bringing down the cost of the luxury car.
