Lenovo Z2 Plus launches in India in two variants: Price, specifications and availability

Lenovo Z2 Plus has been officially launched in India and will be exclusively available for purchase on Amazon starting September 25.

The Lenovo Z2 Plus with 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage will be available for Rs. 19,999, while it’s 3GB RAM/32GB variant has been priced at Rs. 17,999. It will be available in black and white options. The smartphone was earlier launched in China with the name Zuk Z2, though the Indian version does not get the Zuk branding.

Lenovo Z2 Plus Specifications and Features

The Lenovo Z2 Plus is equipped with top-end specifications. Under the hood, it gets powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor bundled with either 4GB/64GB of RAM  and internal storage or 3GB/32GB of RAM and inbuilt storage. On the front, it gets 5-inch full HD display with a 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with the company’s Zen UI 2.0 Android skin.

As far as cameras are concerned, it packs a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation) and 4K video recording. On the front, it sports an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 80-degree wide angle lens.

Juicing up the smartphone is a 3500mAh battery equipped with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The fast-charging functionality juices the Z2 Plus by up to 80 percent in one hour of charging.

Connectivity options on the dual-SIM smartphone include Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi along with 4G LTE connectivity. Besides, it also gets a Type-C USB port along with a fingerprint sensor. Other sensors on the Lenovo Z2 Plus include accelerometer, Proximity sensor, compass and gyro.

The Lenovo Z2 Plus comes with a U-Health app for tracking your daily activity such as steps, distance, calories, active time. Besides, it also features a redesigned quick switch / shortcut panel for easier one-handed usage. Other highlights on the Lenovo Z2 Plus include the fiberglass frame along with the customizable U-touch fingerprint sensor.

The Lenovo Z2 Plus will rival the likes of the Oppo F1s, CoolPad Mega 2.5D, Yu Yureka and other smartphones in sub-Rs 20,000 price bracket.
