Letv to launch world’s first smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC

Letv announced its upcoming new range of smartphones to feature Snapdragon Sense ID fingerprint technology. It is the first ultrasonic-based fingerprint biometric solution, which provides a reliable alternative to capacitive-based fingerprint sensors.

The Sense ID fingerprint technology comes with a new live-ness detection feature, which makes sure that you are using the real and actual finger for biometric authentication. The technology delivers 100% accurate and secured fingerprint detection.

Letv disclosed that the company is committed to leverage graphics, connectivity, entertainment, mobile photography and power efficiency with the help of the new Snapdragon 820 processor.

The CES 2016 attendees had a chance to explore the new features of Snapdragon 820. In case¬†you don’t know, Snapdragon 820 is manufactured using four Qualcomm Kyro cores clocked at 2.2 GHz, paired with an Adreno 530 GPU.

The Le Max Pro will be the first device to incorporate Snapdragon Sense ID fingerprint technology with the live-ness feature.

The Le Max Pro is expected to feature a 6.33-inches (2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution) IPS quad-HD display, 4GB RAM, 21MP primary camera, 13MP front-facing camera. The handset designed using all metal runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with custom LeTV skin.

Letv revealed that new smartphones will offer excellent viewing angles with the ability to deliver crisp images. The device will also have the capability to charge 75% faster than the traditional smartphones.

The Le Max Pro is expected to integrate 802.11ad multi-band wireless connectivity for multi-gigabit speeds to facilitate a uncompressed content transfer.

The company is confident that customers will accept the smartphones once they experience the actual performance enhancements. Letv is expected to release its smartphones in India by the end of January 2016.
