Motorola Moto Turbo Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update rolls out in India

Motorola has rolled out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for Moto Turbo users in India. Ever since its launch in March 2015, the Moto Turbo (XT1225) users in India have been waiting patiently for an update since the current Android platform is pretty much out-dated.

Dubbed as Motorola Droid Turbo in the United States, the Moto Turbo was launched in India with the same specifications in India. The latest update is around 962.2MB in size and includes the latest security patch including the new features of Android M such as Doze battery-saving mode, granular permissions, and Now on Tap.

Like all other updates, the latest release of Android M update for Moto Turbo will take few days to be available to all handsets. Alternatively, you can manually verify the existence of an update. Although the current battery life of Moto Turbo users is rocking the fans, the addition of the doze mode should convert the device in such a way to beat all other competing devices.

Based on the total capacity of the update, we would suggest you to download and install it over a Wi-Fi network. Earlier, Moto G (3rd Gen) was updated to Android 6.0.1 in India. However, the availability of the Android M update much depends on upon the manufacturers. If you look at the premium flagship smartphones, many of them still haven’t got any update.

Right now, Android Marshmallow is running on around 13% of the devices. Motorola Moto Turbo is the latest to join the group. Other names who have received the update include Samsung Galaxy A7Samsung Galaxy J5OnePlus 2, Samsung Galaxy S5 (Exynos variant)Lenovo Vibe K4 NoteSony Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact, and a few more.

Meanwhile, Android Nougat is on its way. You can check out how to download Android 7.0 Nougat on Windows PC.
