Finally, HTC launched the much-anticipated flagship smartphone HTC 10 at a price tag of Rs. 52,900. The high-end device featuring a 5.2-inch 2K display with lock horns with the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, and LG G5. The device unveiled globally in April, will go on sale on June 8 in India.
The event didn’t only saw the launch of HTC 10, but also five more smartphones – HTC Desire 628, HTC One X9, Desire 830, Desire 630, and Desire 825.
Coming back to HTC 10, the smartphone sports an aluminum uni-body design and features a fingerprint scanner at the front. Inside sits the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.2GHz. The display as mentioned above is a 5.2-inch QHD super LCD (2560×1440 pixels), which the company claims is 50% more responsive than its predecessor. It boasts 4GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage space, expandable up to 2TB.
Talking about the camera specifications than a primary camera of 12MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture is equipped with the phone, along with features like optical image stabilization (OIS), 4K video recording, and laser auto-focus. The front flaunts a 5MP auto-focus snapper with f/1.8 aperture, auto HDR, and ultra-wide angle lens. Both the rear and front cameras feature OIS.
On the software front, the device will run Android Marshmallow 6.0 with HTC’s Sense UI on top. The battery specification stands at 3000mAh, which the company claims will support up to 27 hours of talk time. Along with that comes the Quick charging support, Quick Charge 3.0, which can charge the phone from 0 to 50% in around 30 minutes.
HTC 10 has got USB Type-C connector and offers Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, AirPlay in terms of connectivity. It supports the new BoomSound technology and Dolby Surround Sound.
