Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 detachable rugged laptop launched in India for Rs. 2.25 lakh

Japanese tech giant Panasonic is eyeing revenues in excess of Rs. 100 crore from their rugged PC segment in India in a couple of years and their quest has begun with the launch of their Toughbook CF-20 worth Rs. 2.25 lakh. The company claims that it currently has 60 percent share in the Rs. 100-110 crore segment in the country.

Kensei Isaki, Manager, Asia-Pacific and India Sales Section, Panasonic, said, “Panasonic Toughbook has been designed to meet the evolving business needs of the enterprises… Mobility, particularly in mission-critical situations, gives an edge to businesses.”

With a 10.1-inch screen, the device is equipped with the Windows 10 Pro or Windows 7 Professional, the CF-20 is one of the first Toughbooks to be powered by the sixth-gen Intel Core vPro processor with 128GB SSD and 8GB RAM. It also sports a glove-enabled touch-screen, along with purpose-built Vehicle Mount and Desktop Port Replicator, armed to meet all mobile computing requirements in extreme conditions.

Mr. Gunjan Sachdev, National Business Head – Toughbook, Panasonic India said that with the Toughbook, the company is out to showcase its experience of almost two decades in the industry of rugged devices. The device is not only equipped to help professionals in the most demanding of environments but, also meet the evolving needs of enterprises. The range of configuration options along with the ability to detach from the keyboard and become a tablet gives it the ultimate flexibility which is much needed for professionals.
