Qualcomm unveils Snapdragon 820 Processor with Kyro CPU and X12 LTE support

The Qualcomm Snapdragon may have garnered mixed reactions from the people, but the truth is that it is powering most modern flagship smartphones and devices and has been performing quite well.

Qualcomm has now unveiled its next groundbreaking processor, the Snapdragon 820.

This processor boasts of X12 LTE support and an upgraded Adreno 530 GPU along with a lot of new additions and tweaks.

The processor supports LTE Cat. 12 download speeds of up to 600 Mbps as well as LTE Cat. 13 uplink speeds of up to 150 Mbps. The LTE provides 33% faster peak download speeds that are almost triple its predecessor that came with X 10 LTE.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor also supports 802.11ad and 802.11ac 2×2 MU-MIMO, which will allow Wi-Fi connectivity, much faster than the 802.11ac without MU-MIMO in the 810.

The LTE-U will enable you to get connected to both licensed and unlicensed spectrum this will also help in improving the connection quality.
