Rockstar Games teases Red Dead Redemption 2 on Facebook and Twitter

The official Facebook page of Rockstar Games has been updated with the Red Dead Redemption 2 teaser. This signals the fact that the game is about to hit the retail shelves within the few months.

The teaser showcases the big “R” followed by a star mark below it. They are enclosed within a small square. However, the upper left side and top sides are not particularly visible. If you look at the Red Dead Redemption box art, you will notice that the teaser more or less looks same as the art picture.

Meanwhile, Rockstar also tweeted with the same teaser. As of writing this, the teaser has been retweeted 97,486 times with nearly 164,838 tweeples liking it.

It seems that the company is conducting a joint campaign on the social media to indicate the possible forthcoming offering. Interestingly, Rockstar hasn’t provided any information along with Facebook and Twitter updates.

Commenting on the development, Rockstar publishing partner Take-Two disclosed that the developer is working hard to work on exciting future projects. With the recent Grand Theft Auto V biker update depicting the end of major content packs for that game, attention of gamers are likely turning to the Old West.

Red Dead Redemption 2 map revealed in early 2016

In early 2016, a popular tech portal revealed the first look of the Red Dead Redemption 2 map. It reveals that the new game is a prequel to the Red Dead Redemption released in 2010.

Furthermore, there will be a direct link to Mafia 3 since both the Red Dead leak and Mafia 3 share the same location of New Bordeaux. To make points clear, Mafia 3 was also published by Take-Two.

Meanwhile, Rockstar hasn’t published a new game since 2011, when it first revealed Grand Theft Auto V for the PS3 and Xbox 360. This is without taking into account the PS4, Xbox One and PC remakes of GTA V.

Red Dead Redemption, released in 2010 is considered as one of the finest games of the current generation. It is regarded that the game accurately mixes the open-world action of the Grand Theft Auto series with a super-cool spaghetti western aesthetic.
