Reliance Jio 4G to offer free unlimited Wi-Fi in Mumbai during Shri Ganesh Utsav

Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) will be offering free unlimited Wi-Fi service in Mumbai during the Ganesh Utsav festival. However, only selected pandals are captured with the free Internet service dubbed Jionet. Unlike the free WiFi service being offered by the Delhi Government in select pockets of the nation’s capital, Jionet renders high-speed data connection to be unlimited.

Reliance Jio has an exciting offer for the devotees visiting the Andheri Cha Raja, Sahyadri Cha Raja and Lalbaug Cha Raja pandals in Mumbai during the ongoing Ganesh Utsav festival.

Throughout the festival period, which is expected to last for 11 days, Reliance Jio, devotees will enjoy high-speed unlimited free Wi-Fi Internet on their devices.

Jionet Signup

Reliance Jio has simplified the signup process for Jionet service to ensure that everyone can take advantage of the opportunity. Those visitors at the three pandals only have to scan their smartphones and choose Jionet.

After that, they are invited to fill their details in the interface that appears on the phone display. Once the relevant details have been supplied, the users will be eligible to enter a password that unlocks the access to the free Wi-Fi service.

Automatic Logout

Although there are no data restrictions in Jionet, Reliance Jio has a system that automatically logs out the user. The automatic logout happens after every 30 minutes of device inactivity.

Being automatically logged out isn’t the end of everything, though, you can get back to Jionet by reentering the password that you used initially to sign up for the service.

By offering free Internet access to Ganesh Utsav devotees, Reliance Jio wants them to have a test of its digital offerings, the company said in a statement.

Reliance Jio hopes to use the feedback from Jionet experience at the three pandals to improve its services. The company is in the process of building commercial 4G service that is expected to launch before the end of this year.

According to Reliance Jio, the 4G service that is under development process will make it easy for LTE networks and Wi-Fi to operate seamlessly.
