Renault Lodgy World Edition launched in India: Price and availability

Renault India’s Lodgy line-up has been bolstered by the new ‘World Edition’ version of the same. According to the automaker, Renault Lodgy World Edition benefits from 25 new features or enhancements pertaining to both the interior and exterior of the MPV. Prices start at 9.74 lakh for the 85 PS variant while the same with 110 PS on tap starts from 10.40 lakh.

Overall, the Lodgy remains largely the same. For instance, there is now the new front grille studded with jewels that add sparkle to the vehicle front, as does the fog laps that now are done up with a chrome sating finish. Then there is also the two-tone bumper with the matte black finish getting carried over all around. That includes the black wheel claddings, which along with the 15-inch Nepta finish alloy wheels does add some character to the car when viewed from the sides.

The sides are also enhanced by the black body claddings featuring a chrome finish. The B and C pillars too are done in black and chrome while the same black and chrome combo applies to the roof rails. Similarly, the rear end gets enhanced by the new roof spoiler.

The interiors too get largely visual upgrades with the World Edition badge getting displayed on the foam steering wheel that again sports a glossy black finish. The dashboard and door handles get chrome accents while the other thing that immediately catches the eye in the interior is the new upholstery that is now lined with anodized orange.

The air vents, as well as the center of the instrument cluster, sports the same anodized orange color theme. Meanwhile, the seats have also been made more comfortable with the addition of bolster support.

These apart, the World Edition also benefits from new smart-sense AC that allows for better cooling for the 2nd and 3rd-row passengers along with 2 DIN music system. These apart, there also are a few electronic upgrades for the new Lodgy version which includes electrically adjustable mirrors, Bluetooth, central locking with keyless entry, headlight turn on reminder, and 12V charging sockets across two rows for both drivers and passengers.

However, the powertrain options with the World Edition remains largely the same. That includes the 1.5-liter dCi engine rated at 110PS of power and 245Nm at 1750rpm of torque that supplies power to the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.

The slightly less powerful variant will have on offer 85PS of peak power and 200Nm at 1900rpm of peak torque, all of which gets transmitted to the wheels via the 5-speed manual transmission.

Both the versions with 85PS and 110PS of power rating returns class-leading fuel efficiency figures of 19.98Km/l and 21.04Km/l respectively.
