Samsung following Apple footsteps, to launch Galaxy S7 glossy black version

Samsung is expected to unveil glossy black variant of Samsung Galaxy S7 to combat Jet Black variant of iPhone 7. According to a report published in The Korea Herald, Samsung will unveil a new glossy black color variant for Galaxy S7 in the first week of December.

Samsung has been looking into various ways to boost the sale of other handsets after the stoppage of Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The latest move is an attempt by the smartphone major to combat Jet Black and Matte Black color variants of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

If you look at the currently available color options, Samsung already has a black color variant of Galaxy S7. However, the company is planning to add a glossy effect to the phone.

iPhone 7 sale declined

As per the latest reports, Apple is facing a slump in the iPhone 7 sales as Samsung aggressively steps ahead to promote the sale of Galaxy S7. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have already reached peak demand and are facing a downward trajectory in sales.

iPhone 7 in Jet White variant expected soon

After the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, analysts believed that Apple will gain considerably. There are reports that Apple is gearing up to launch a Jet White variant of iPhone 7 to combat heavy competition from Samsung Galaxy S7.

An unknown Japanese blog had revealed the leaked renders of the phone. It suggests that the Cupertino-based tech giant is planning to introduce a new color variant mid-cycle in a bid to boost sales.

Previously, Samsung has launched a pink gold variant of Galaxy S7. However, Apple also launched Rose Gold color variant for the iPhone 6s series. It has been a heavy competition between both Samsung and Apple in terms of color variants.

That being said, it’s very difficult to predict the mindset of customers. Hence, both Apple and Samsung is launching color variants of all possibilities to drive sales.
