Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 flip phone out in China

Galaxy Folder 2, the flip/clamshell smartphone by Samsung has officially been launched by Samsung in China, after a series of leaks in the past fortnight. The smartphone features a 3.8-inch TFT LCD display (WVGA resolution). As far as the camera is concerned, the primary eye is 8MP, and the secondary one is 5MP. Both get an aperture of f1.9.

Equipped with a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, the classy offering runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The 2GB RAM will front a 16GB internal memory which is expandable via microSD card.

The listing on the official website of Samsung China states that it comes with a separate slot for both the SIMs and a separate SD card slot. So the dual-SIM and SD card can be used at the same time. It is also compatible with LTE and VoLTE calls. The smartphone packs a 1,950mAh battery.

The successor to the Galaxy Folder smartphone launched last year. The Galaxy Folder 2 is listed on the website, but pricing and availability still remains a mystery. The Galaxy Folder 2 sports design which is the same as its predecessor, with a few tweaks in the keypad and the new metallic silver color variant. Sporting a metal body and a classic keypad, the device is a rarity in this age for those who long for the good old days.

The South Korean giant has been recently covered in controversies after the Galaxy Note 7 exploded. The sales were suspended immediately, and all the devices were called back.
