Vivo, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has announced the launch of Vivo X7 and Vivo X7 Plus in China starting at CNY 2498. Even though both smartphones look similar with the metal build and its availability in both Gold and Rose Gold color variants, there are minor differences in specifications. Let’s compare the two:
Display and Processor
Even though both Vivo X7 and X7 Plus ships with Snapdragon 652 processor and Adreno 510 graphics, the X7 Plus is equipped with a 5.7-inch FHD display (424PPI) as opposed to 5.2-inch display (386PPI) in Vivo X7. However, both X7 and X7 Plus offer Super AMOLED display, which is capable of producing brilliant colors.
Both Vivo X7 and X7 Plus provides support for fingerprint coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB.
Camera and Battery
The main attraction of Vivo X7 smartphone series is the integration of an enhanced rear and front-facing camera sensors. The X7 features 13MP main camera sensor paired with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. However, the X7 Plus offers 16rMP main sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
Noticeably, both smartphones come with 16MP front-facing snapper with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. Despite high capacity sensor in Vivo X7 Plus, the aperture levels are low.
On the power front, the Vivo X7 offers 3000mAh battery, which is less than 4000mAh battery infused with Vivo X7 Plus. Vivo has integrated fast charging technology into both smartphones, which is an added bonus.
In terms of weight, the Vivo X7 Plus is higher than the X7, which comes to 151 grams. Moreover, the thickness of X7 is 0.3 mm less than X7 Plus.
Operating System and Price
Interestingly, both smartphones come with Android 5.1 Lollipop, even though other competing devices are equipped with Android Marshmallow. Like other premium flagship handsets, the X7 and X7 Plus comes with its own Funtouch OS 2.5.1.
The Vivo X7 will be available for sale in China on July 7 at CNY 2498 (Rs. 25,000). We don’t have any confirmation about the pricing and availability of Vivo X7 Plus.
We recommend Vivo X7 Plus because it offers increased display size, 16MP rear camera sensor and higher battery capacity of 4000mAh. Moreover, the pixel density in the X7 Plus is higher than X7. Hence you will be able to read content without eye strain.
