Xbox One console now available to buy at Microsoft Priority Reseller Stores in India

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has declared the sales of Xbox One, Xbox One accessories and Xbox live commencing at 27 Microsoft Priority Resellers across eight Indian cities as well as at online marketplace from September 1, 2015.

Xbox One comes at a starting price of Rs. 34,990 for the stand-alone version and the Xbox One with Kinetic comes at Rs 45,990.

The reseller service will be available in the following cities – Chandigarh, Delhi NCR, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata. The stores would hold experiential demos of Xbox One as well as over-the-counter sales.

Director, interactive entertainment business, Microsoft India, Anshu Mor commented that retailing Microsoft’s goods on provided it the platform to achieve scale and reach to the constantly broadening digital audience.

Currently with Microsoft’s gaming progress present in stores, the company remains committed to delivering its customer’s a genuinely world-class user experience.

Microsoft in the Xbox Preview Program forums declared that they would be dispatching fewer invitations to the program. The Xbox One was kicked off in India, last September. The product was available for purchase via Amazon.

Xbox could experience a surge in sales in this fall as a result of the exclusives provided on the console. Also, backwards compatibility could stretch to original games on Xbox. This functionally will not be available to all users of Xbox One until November this year courtesy a major Xbox One update.

One of the significant features offered exclusively in the Preview Program of Xbox One is backwards compatibility with Xbox One. The latter feature enables users to play games of Xbox 360 on their brand new consoles.

With the Windows 10 launch, Microsoft revealed that it has under work the streaming of PC games to consoles of Xbox One. The main factor for Microsoft using its official stores to sell is that it anticipates other outlets such as Reliance Digital, Croma and others will turn it down as they have surplus Xbox 360 inventory.
