Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 821 processor and is rumored to launch on July 27 in China along with the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Pro with the same processor. Touted to be the successor of Xiaomi Mi Note Pro launched in 2015, the specifications of both Mi Note 2 Pro and Redmi Pro has also surfaced online.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro Specs
According to the latest information available on the rumor mills, the Mi Note 2 Pro will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, a 3700mAh battery coupled with Snapdragon 821 processor, which offers 10 percent enhanced performance than the 820.
Likely to be available in two variants, the 4GB model will have 64GB internal storage, while the 6GB model is expected to ship with a 128GB of internal storage. Furthermore, you will be able to expand the storage capacity up to 128GB. As per rumors, Xiaomi will be shifting from eMMC storage to UFS 2.0 flash storage in Mi Note 2 Pro. Like in Mi 5, the Mi Note 2 Pro will have a fingerprint sensor on the front.
While the rear camera will feature a 12-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture, four-axis optical image stabilization, and two-tone flash, the front-facing snapper will be equipped with a 4-megapixel sensor. If rumors are to be believed, the rear camera will ship with either Sony’s IMX260 or the Samsung S5K2L1 sensor.
With 500-nit maximum brightness and an RGB sub-pixel arrangement, the display integrated with Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro will be manufactured by AU Optronics and not Samsung.
Interestingly, a new Xiaomi device with the codename Altun was spotted in Geekbench listing. Initially reported by Twitter user Krispi, the Xiaomi Altun scored 980 in Geekbench single core tests. However, in multi-core tests the device reportedly scored 4076.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro Specs
Meanwhile, Xiaomi Redmi Pro is expected to ship with a 5.5-inch FHD OLED display manufactured by AUO, Snapdragon 821 processor, Adreno 530 graphics with both 4GB/6GB RAM options.
With internal storage capacities of 32GB and 128GB respectively, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro will also offer a 12-megapixel autofocus ISOCELL camera with LED Flash paired with a 3800mAh battery. However, we don’t have any specific information about the front-facing camera.
Talking about the pricing, the Mi Note 2 Pro will start at CNY 2499 (Rs. 25,000) for the base variant with the price expected to hit CNY 3499 (Rs. 35,000) for the top-level variant.
