YotaPhone Dual-Screen Smartphone Price slashed to Rs. 12,999

YotaPhone, famous for its dual screen, has received yet another huge price cut in India. The first generation of the device was originally launched for Rs. 23,499. Realizing that the price was a bit too high for the Indian audience, the company cut the price down to Rs. 17,999 by November 2013, only one month following the launch.

The latest price cut almost makes it a mid-range budget smartphone. Now the YotaPhone Dual-Screen smartphone only costs Rs. 12,999. The phone can be purchased exclusively from online retailer Flipkart.

There is a second generation of YotaPhone that was launched in 2014. But the company kept the first generation of the phone around because of its somewhat demand among the smartphone shoppers who like something a bit different.

The specification of YotaPhone first generation is 4.3-inch HD display which is the main display, coupled with a 4.3-inch e-ink display which has a resolution of 360×640 pixels. Under the hood the phone has a 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 2 GB RAM. It also has large 32 GB internal storage capacity and 13 MP shooter on the back. The front camera is just 1 megapixel, though.

The phone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. and has a 1800 mAh battery to power the whole device.

The second generation of YotaPhone, conveniently named YotaPhone 2, has a 5-inch full HD display and quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 2 GB of RAM, with same 32 GB internal storage, 8 MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, 2.1 MP front camera and 2500 mAh battery.
