Infinix Hot 50 4G Launched: Helio G100, FHD+ Display, and 50MP Camera

Infinix Hot 50 4G Launched
Infinix Hot 50 4G boasts a MediaTek Helio G100 SoC, FHD+ display, 50MP camera, and a long-lasting 5,000mAh battery.

Infinix has quietly released a new addition to its Hot 50 series, the Infinix Hot 50 4G. This device shares a similar design aesthetic with its 5G counterpart, which launched earlier in September, but boasts several key differences in terms of specifications.

Key Differences from the 5G Model

The Infinix Hot 50 4G is distinguished from the Hot 50 5G in a few key areas:

  • Processor: It features a MediaTek Helio G100 SoC, a 6nm chipset similar to the Helio G99 but with enhanced camera capabilities. This contrasts with the Dimensity 6300 SoC found in the 5G model. While both chipsets share a similar core structure, the Helio G100 offers slightly less powerful performance cores.
  • Display: The Infinix Hot 50 4G sports a 6.78-inch LCD with FHD+ resolution, a significant upgrade from the HD panel on the 5G variant. This brighter display also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, Always-On mode, and boasts an impressive 800 nits of typical brightness. It also includes a TuV Rheinland-rated blue-light filter for enhanced eye comfort.
  • Camera: The 4G version has a 50MP primary camera with a 1/2.76-inch sensor and f/1.6 aperture, while the 5G edition has a 48MP main camera with a 1/2.0-inch sensor and f/1.8 aperture.

Design and Other Features

The Infinix Hot 50 4G (X6882) mirrors the design of its 5G sibling, available in Sleek Black, Sage Green, and Titanium Grey. It retains the slim profile, measuring just 7.7mm thick, and features flat sides with chamfered edges. The power button, which doubles as a fingerprint reader, and the volume rocker are conveniently located on the right side.

In terms of connectivity, the Infinix Hot 50 4G includes a USB-C (2.0) port, a speaker grille, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the rear, it houses a vertical camera stack with three lens cutouts.

The Infinix Hot 50 4G is equipped with 6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256GB UFS storage, expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W charging. Infinix claims the battery can retain at least 80 percent of its capacity even after four years of charging.

For selfies, the Infinix Hot 50 4G offers an 8MP front camera, identical to the 5G model.

Pricing and Availability

While Infinix has yet to officially announce the price, a Ukrainian website lists the Infinix Hot 50 4G price at UAH 6,800 (approximately Rs 13,789.77).

Alternatives

Given the Infinix Hot 50 4G’s Helio G100 chipset’s similarity to the Helio G99, potential alternatives primarily fall within the under Rs 10,000 price range, where Helio G99-powered phones are commonly found. The base variant of the Infinix Hot 50 5G also launched within this price segment.
