Apple finally revealed the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus at the Steve Jobs Theater today with many more other products. Apple also unveiled the most awaited iPhone X with the all screen design and stainless steel edges. Apple did something very new with the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus derives the same design as the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. But features a glass back not just for design improvements but also to enable wireless charging. Both iPhone 8 and 8 Plus comes with the new Space Gray, Silver and Gold finishes. Both the devices come with the precision engineered water and dust resistant.
Both iPhone 8 and 8 Plus comes with Wireless charging capabilities; Apple also revealed a wireless charging mat called AirPower. The Air Power can wirelessly charge all the devices; iPhone 8, 8 Plus, Apple Watch Series 3, iPhone X and the AirPods with the new wireless charging case. Yup, there is no 3.5 mm audio jack this time also.
The new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus comes with the new Retina HD display with the True tone technology. The speakers are 25 percent louder than the previous iPhone, and it has deeper bass this time. The new generation iPhones powered by the latest Apple A11 Bionic chip. The chip consist of 6 cores; four high-efficiency cores and two high-performance cores.
The GPU this time is 30 percent faster than the previous one on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The camera sensor is new, iPhone 8Plus comes with dual camera setup with one lens with f/1.8 aperture and another lens with f/2.8 aperture. The new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus can capture 1080p videos at 240 frames per second and 4K videos at 60 frames per second.
Price and Availability: The prices for the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are incredible as well. The iPhone 8 starts from $699 for 64 GB storage version and $849 for 256GB model. While the iPhone 8 Plus version is starting from $799 for 64GB and $949 for the 256GB. Pre-orders are starting from September 15th and it will ship from September 22nd.
