The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced that the 10th Matric results will be announced on 28th May at around 3 PM. The total number of students who appeared for the exams last year was 14,09,173 with a pass percentage of 75.15.
The results will be made available on the Official website, Bihar School Examination Board and Bihar Indian results website for download. To download the result, the candidate should enter their roll number in the given area on the home page and click on the submit button.
The results will also be available via SMS. To avail this facility, the candidate needs to enter BIHAR<space>Roll Code & Roll no. and send it to 56263. Last year, the results were delayed and released on June 20. This year, it was supposed to be released on May 23, but it got postponed.
The 12th Science and Commerce results, on the other hand, were released on May 10 and May 17, respectively. The board is among the last to release the result. How much disadvantageous it proves for students seeking admission to colleges outside the state, is quite unclear. With a majority of the students from the state pursuing IIT, Medical and IAS, results prove highly consequential.
Traditionally, the BSEB releases the overall performance along with the results. This may or may not prove as a mark of improvement of performance from the previous years. Last year’s result of 75.15% students passing was average as far as the state standards are concerned. However, the results all over the country have been better in average from previous years, and it is expected that Bihar students will join the group too.
With the overall education in the country increasing drastically over the years, states like Bihar have a lot of catching up to do. While the standards have risen considerably over the years, but a still a lot needs to be done.
