Circuit House Technologies, a consumer tech startup that secured $4.3 million in funding in June 2024, is making its entry into the home entertainment segment with the launch of Lumio, a brand-new range of Smart TVs. With this launch, the company aims to redefine consumer expectations in India’s Smart TV market.

India’s Expanding Smart TV Market

The Smart TV market in India, currently valued at around USD 5 billion, is projected to witness a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13% over the next 3-4 years. This growth is largely being fueled by increasing demand for premium models featuring larger displays and advanced screen technologies such as QLED, OLED, and MiniLED. Notably, 4K TVs have become the dominant choice, accounting for nearly 70% of all Smart TV purchases, and this trend is expected to continue in the years ahead.

Despite the presence of over 100 brands in the Indian Smart TV space, a significant number of buyers are still searching for a go-to brand they can trust. This is evident from consumer search behavior, which continues to favor generic product searches rather than searches for specific brands. Lumio sees this as a significant opportunity and aims to fill the gap by offering a product lineup that understands and addresses the evolving expectations and preferences of Indian consumers.

Distribution and customer reach will be supported through a partnership with Amazon India, ensuring that Lumio’s Smart TVs are easily accessible to households across the country.
