Mahindra Thar Roxx bookings open! Premium 5-door Thar with 19-inch wheels, panoramic sunroof, & Level 2 ADAS. Deliveries this Dussehra.

Following its market debut in August 2024, the Mahindra Thar Roxx is now officially available for booking. Deliveries are slated to begin this Dussehra, with test drives already underway at Mahindra dealerships. The Thar Roxx is a 5-door iteration of the popular Thar, boasting a longer wheelbase and a more premium feel.

A Premium Take on a Rugged Classic

The Thar Roxx distinguishes itself from its 3-door counterpart with several exterior enhancements. These include a new 6-slat grille, striking 19-inch alloy wheels, and contemporary all-LED lighting. The interior offers a sophisticated ambiance with a dual-tone black and white cabin theme, complemented by white leatherette upholstery. Alternatively, buyers can opt for a Mocha brown cabin theme with brown upholstery.

Enhanced Features and Advanced Technology

Mahindra has generously equipped the Thar Roxx with a host of premium features. Occupants will enjoy dual 10.25-inch screens (serving as the infotainment system and digital driver’s display), a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and ventilated front seats.

Safety is paramount, with 6 airbags included as standard, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking.

Powertrain Options

Under the hood, the Thar Roxx offers two engine options: a 2-liter turbo-petrol and a 2.2-liter diesel engine. Both engines are available with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions. It’s worth noting that four-wheel drive is exclusive to the diesel variants.

Pricing and Competition

The Mahindra Thar Roxx has been launched with an introductory price range of Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 22.49 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). It enters a competitive segment, vying for attention alongside the Maruti Jimny and Force Gurkha 5-door. It also presents a compelling alternative to compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
