Motorola has recently launched Moto G 3rd gen in India. And in the same budget segment, Xiaomi also launched its flagship Mi 4i for Indian market. Xiaomi Mi 4i and Moto G (3rd Gen.), both sports a 5-inch display screen. The only difference in displays of both the smartphones is Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with a 1080p Full HD display whereas, you will get 720p HD display with Moto G 3rd Generation.
Xiaomi Mi 4i comes packed with a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset processor, which is an octa core processor. You will get 2GB RAM with the processor and onboard Adreno 405 GPU. Coming to the processor of 3rd Gen Moto G, you will get a 1.4GHz Quad Core processor, which is Snapdragon 410 chipset processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The 3rd Generation Moto G is available in two storage options which are 8GB and 16GB. Motorola has added option to add external micro SD card of storage space up to 32GB to the device. Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with 16GB and 32GB of internal storage options. Sadly there is no option to pop up a memory card in the Xiaomi Mi 4i.
Xiaomi Mi 4i draws its power from a 3,120mAh battery, which is bigger when compared with the 2,470mAh battery in the Moto G. Motorola claims that Moto G can easily last for an entire day with the 2,470mAh battery.
In terms of software, you will get Android Lollipop on both Xiaomi Mi 4i and Moto G (3rd Gen). Mi 4i comes with MIUI 6 out of the box, which is Xiaomi’s own user interface whereas, Moto G comes with Vanilla Android OS, which helps in delivering stock Android experience on the device.

The 16GB variant of the Xiaomi Mi 4i is available in grey and white color options, whereas Moto G 3rd Gen is available in black and white color options in 8GB and 16GB storage variants.
