After a dismal performance of Lumia handsets, the Finland-based smartphone company is rumored to release a series of new Nokia Android phones. In May 2016, the company announced that they are planning to release Nokia C1, which will be loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. According to reports, the Nokia C1 handset will be released towards the end of 2016 and the renders of the possible handset surfaced on the web.
Even though the design looks similar to that of other competing smartphones, it’s nice to see Nokia edging towards the release of new phones loaded with Android.
Nokia Android Phones: Nokia C1 specifications
On the specifications front, the Nokia C1 will feature a 5.5-inch IPS display, Snapdragon 652 processor, Adreno 510 graphics, 2GB RAM and 32GB default internal storage. The display will have a pixel density of 401 PPI.
Talking about the camera, the rumored Nokia C1 is expected to offer 13MP rear sensor and a 5MP front-facing shooter. We don’t have any confirmation about whether the display is HD or FHD. It remains to be seen as to how Nokia will deal with their forthcoming Android smartphones in this acute competitive segment.
Nokia Android Phones: Two new gadgets on the way
According to rumors, two Nokia-branded Android smartphones with a 5.2-inch (5-inch also a possibility) and 5.5-inch QHD OLED displays with 2K resolution will the market before the end of 2016. Moreover, these two unnamed handsets will be water and dust resistant similar to that of Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7.
The 5-inch variant will ship with 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage and an 8MP sensor. However, the larger 5.5-inch model will offer 3GB RAM, 13MP camera, and 64GB default storage. You will find 5MP front-facing snapper for both models.

If rumors are to be believed, both the handsets will feature a PureView camera and ClearBlack display technology. Moreover, there is a possibility for the Nokia to infuse Windows 10 in select markets.

From the rumor mills, we can infer that the two new Android smartphones from Nokia will be powered by Snapdragon 820 processor and will ship with Z-Launcher System UI based on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.
Expected to feature an all-metal unibody, both handsets will be equipped with an OLED display. You will also find fingerprint sensors. According to a report published in a leading tech news portal, the sensors on these two smartphones may be most sensitive ever and will be based on Nokia’s extensive research on wonder material graphene.
Even though the two new Nokia branded Android handsets will be released by the end of 2016, the actual launch date will depend on how fast the production line goes by. There are reports that Nokia will push the launch for the first quarter of 2017.

We can expect the release of Nokia Android Phone by the end of 2016 with availability in January. Regarding price, you can expect the handsets to sell at $350 onwards depending on the RAM and internal storage.
