OnePlus 13R Confirmed for Global Release Following SIRIM Certification
The OnePlus 13R is launching soon globally! Leaked specs suggest a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 50MP dual cameras, and a massive 6,000mAh battery. Learn more about this upcoming flagship alternative.

The OnePlus 13 is set to launch in China on October 31st, boasting the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Following the trend of previous generations, a more affordable flagship alternative is anticipated, likely named the OnePlus 13R. This speculation gained traction after a recent sighting of the OnePlus 13R on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification site, confirming its moniker and hinting at a global release. It’s believed that the OnePlus 13R will be the global variant of the OnePlus Ace 5.

OnePlus 13R Moniker Confirmed

The SIRIM certification listing reveals the OnePlus 13R with the model number CPH2645, solidifying the phone’s official name. While the listing provides limited information, it strongly suggests that OnePlus is preparing to launch a new ‘R’ model for the global market. Given the precedent set by the OnePlus 12R, which was a rebranded OnePlus Ace 3, a similar strategy is expected for the OnePlus 13R and OnePlus Ace 5. However, with the OnePlus Ace 5 yet to be launched, the OnePlus 13R might not arrive until early next year. There’s also a possibility of a OnePlus Ace 5 Pro variant, but this is likely to remain exclusive to China.

OnePlus 13R: Expected Features and Specifications

Leaked specifications of the OnePlus 13R provide insights into what we can expect from this upcoming device. It is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm SM8750 chipset, potentially the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This would be a significant upgrade, as ‘R’ models typically feature chipsets from the previous generation.

In terms of camera capabilities, the OnePlus 13R is projected to sport a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary camera and a 50MP Samsung JN1 telephoto camera. This marks an upgrade from the OnePlus 12R by including a telephoto lens.

Battery capacity is also expected to see a boost, with the OnePlus 13R tipped to pack a 6,000mAh battery, surpassing the 5,500mAh battery found in the OnePlus 12R, which was the largest battery in a OnePlus phone to date.

A 1.5K display is also anticipated for the OnePlus 13R, although the exact screen size remains undisclosed.

As previously mentioned, the OnePlus 13R is likely to be a rebranded OnePlus Ace 5. Therefore, further details about the OnePlus 13R will be revealed once the OnePlus Ace 5 is officially launched. Considering the launch cycle of the OnePlus 12 and 12R in India earlier this year, a similar timeline can be expected for the OnePlus 13 lineup.
