PAN 2.0 Launched: India’s Tax System Gets Digital Upgrade

The Indian government has given the green light to a significant upgrade of its taxpayer registration system. The initiative, known as PAN 2.0, was approved on November 25, 2024, and will involve a ₹1,435 crore investment to modernize the existing PAN/TAN infrastructure.
