Realme 13+ vs Vivo T3 Pro: A Head-to-Head Comparison

VIVO t3 pro VS realme 13

The Realme 13+ has recently made its debut in India, succeeding the Realme 12+. Priced from Rs 22,999, it faces competition from the recently launched Vivo T3 Pro, which offers a comparable hardware configuration at a similar price point. Let’s delve into a detailed comparison to ascertain which smartphone presents a better value proposition.

Pricing in India

The Realme 13+ is available at a starting price of Rs 22,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. Additional options include 8GB RAM with 256GB storage at Rs 24,999, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage at Rs 26,999.

The Vivo T3 Pro is slightly more expensive, starting at Rs 24,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, with the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant priced at Rs 26,999.

Design

The Realme 13+ largely retains its predecessor’s design but introduces a fresh dual-tone finish. The rear panel boasts a textured pattern and is available in three colors: Dark Purple, Victory Gold, and Speed Green. The Vivo T3 Pro offers two distinct finishes: a plastic variant and a leather variant. The Sandstone Orange edition features a leather finish, while the Emerald Green variant sports a plastic build with a matte finish.

A notable distinction lies in their durability. The Realme 13+ boasts an IP65 rating, providing superior protection against dust and water compared to the Vivo T3 Pro’s IP64 standard.

Display

Both smartphones feature an AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the Vivo T3 Pro distinguishes itself with a curved panel that incorporates Schott Xensation protection against scratches and wear, a feature absent in the Realme 13+.

Furthermore, the Vivo T3 Pro offers a higher peak brightness, enhancing the viewing experience for HDR content compared to the Realme 13+.

Performance

The Vivo T3 Pro is equipped with a more powerful SoC, outperforming the Realme 13+ in benchmark tests. However, the Realme 13+ offers up to 12GB RAM, while the Vivo T3 Pro is limited to 8GB RAM.

In terms of performance metrics, the Vivo T3 Pro scored 8,13,119 on AnTuTu, surpassing the Realme 13+’s score of 7,39,074. Similarly, on Geekbench, the Vivo T3 Pro achieved 1,147 points in the single-core test and 3,117 points in the multi-core test, outperforming the Realme 13+ which scored 1,050 and 3,157, respectively.

Cameras

Both smartphones come with a 16MP front camera and a 50MP primary camera with OIS support. However, their secondary cameras differ significantly. The Realme 13+ features a 2MP monochrome sensor, ideal for black-and-white photography, while the Vivo T3 Pro is equipped with an 8MP ultrawide lens, perfect for capturing wide-angle shots.

Battery and Charging

The Vivo T3 Pro has a larger 5,500mAh battery, lasting 15 hours and 52 minutes in the PCMark battery test. In comparison, the Realme 13+ with its 5,000mAh battery lasted 10 hours and 37 minutes. However, despite its smaller battery, the Realme 13+ charges faster, taking just 31 minutes to go from 20 percent to 100 percent, whereas the Vivo T3 Pro takes 52 minutes.

Software

Both smartphones will receive two years of Android updates and three years of security patches. The Vivo T3 Pro runs on Funtouch OS based on Android 14, while the Realme 13+ operates on Android 14-based Realme UI.

The Vivo T3 Pro also offers advanced AI photo editing tools, such as AI Photo Enhance and AI Erase. On the other hand, Realme emphasizes a smoother software experience and optimized performance with its AI features.

Verdict

Both the Realme 13+ and the Vivo T3 Pro offer strong performances across various aspects, but there are distinct differences to consider. The Vivo T3 Pro provides better display protection, a vegan-leather finish, and a more versatile camera setup. In contrast, the Realme 13+ offers superior IP protection, more RAM options, and faster charging times. Your choice between the two will depend on which features are more important to you.
