Xiaomi’s subsidiary, Redmi, has unveiled its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Redmi 14R, in China. This new offering boasts a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM, and a generous 256GB of inbuilt storage. Running on Android 14 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS skin, the phone also features a substantial 5,160mAh battery with 18W charging support. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Pricing and Availability

The Redmi 14R is available in four attractive color options: Deep Ocean Blue, Lavender, Olive Green, and Shadow Black. It comes in various RAM and storage configurations, with the base model (4GB+128GB) priced at CNY 1,099 (approximately Rs. 13,000). Other variants include 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB, priced at CNY 1,499, CNY 1,699, and CNY 1,899, respectively. While currently available in China, there’s no official announcement regarding its global launch, including India.
