Redmi Note 14 Pro, Pro+ Global Camera Specs Leaked from HyperOS Codebase

Redmi Note 14 Pro, Pro+ Global Camera Specs Leaked
Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+ global variants: camera upgrades and differences. 200MP main sensor, but Pro+ loses telephoto. Indian models may retain Chinese specs.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+, recently launched in China, are generating excitement as they gear up for a global release. However, recent discoveries in the HyperOS codebase indicate that the global versions may come with camera configurations that differ from their Chinese counterparts. These camera changes, while potentially exciting for international users, may not be extended to the Indian market.

Redmi Note 14 Pro (global): A 200MP Main Camera Upgrade

The most significant revelation is that the Redmi Note 14 Pro global variant is rumored to feature a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor as its primary camera. This substantial upgrade from the 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor in the Chinese version promises improved image quality and detail. The secondary 8MP Sony IMX355 sensor and the 2MP OmniVision OV02B10 macro module are expected to remain the same, offering familiar wide-angle and close-up shooting capabilities.

Redmi Note 14 Pro+ (global): Trading Telephoto for Macro

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ global variant may also receive a primary camera boost to a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor. However, there’s a potential trade-off: the 50MP JN1 telephoto camera found in the Chinese version could be replaced with a 2MP macro camera. This might disappoint users who value optical zoom capabilities but could appeal to those who frequently capture detailed close-ups.

Beyond the Camera: What Else to Expect

Beyond the camera modifications, the Redmi Note 14 Pro series’ global variants are anticipated to share several features with their Chinese counterparts. The Pro+ is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, while the Pro may feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chip. Both phones are expected to have a stunning 6.67-inch curved OLED display with 1.5K resolution, HDR support, and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Durability appears to be a priority, with both models rumored to offer IP69 dust and water resistance.

Indian Market: Sticking to the Chinese Formula?

While these potential camera changes may excite global users, it’s important to note that the Indian market may receive Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+ versions that closely resemble the Chinese models, retaining the original camera configurations.

The global release of the Redmi Note 14 Pro series promises a mix of exciting camera upgrades and potential feature trade-offs. As we await official confirmation from Xiaomi, these leaks offer an intriguing glimpse into what these highly anticipated smartphones might offer in different regions.
