The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is on the horizon, with numerous leaks shedding light on its potential features and pricing. A notable shift from its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE, is the anticipated price increase. This trend, initially observed in European pricing leaks, is further solidified by recent revelations about the US pricing.
Galaxy S24 FE US Pricing
According to a report by Smartprix in collaboration with OnLeaks, the Galaxy S24 FE will have a starting price of $649 (approximately Rs 54,175) for the base model with 128GB storage. The 256GB storage variant is expected to be priced at $709 (approximately Rs 59,183) in the US. This marks a $50 increase compared to the Galaxy S23 FE’s launch price of $599.
Global Price Trends
The Galaxy S24 FE is also rumored to cost 799 Euros (approximately Rs 74,083) in Europe, a substantial 100 Euros increase compared to the Galaxy S23 FE. While prices may vary across markets, these leaks from two major regions suggest a general trend of a higher price point for the Galaxy S24 FE. Interestingly, in India, the Galaxy S24 FE is tipped to cost Rs 50,000, significantly cheaper than the Galaxy S23 FE’s Rs 59,999 launch price.
Anticipated Specifications
- Design and Colors: The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to sport a punch-hole display, flat edges, and a vertically-stacked camera arrangement, similar to the Galaxy S23 FE. It could launch in a range of colors, including Graphite, Blue, Silver/White, Green, and Yellow.
- Display: A 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits of peak brightness is anticipated, making it the same size as the Galaxy S24+.
- Processor: The Galaxy S24 FE might be powered by a new Exynos chipset, the ‘Exynos 2400e’, based on the Exynos 2400. The US variant could feature a Snapdragon processor, as seen in the flagship series.
- Cameras: A triple-camera setup is expected, comprising a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. A 10MP front camera is likely for selfies.
- Battery and Charging: The Galaxy S24 FE is tipped to pack a 4,565mAh battery (marketed as 4,600mAh) with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. It’s also rumored to offer 78 hours of music playback and up to 29 hours of video playback.
- Software: The smartphone will likely run One UI 6.1.1 based on Android 14.
With the Galaxy S23 FE’s launch in October last year, the Galaxy S24 FE’s debut is anticipated soon. While the price increase might be a point of contention for some, the upgraded specifications and features could justify the higher price tag.
