BERLIN – Sony Mobile Communications also called “Sony Mobile” has launched three new smartphones in a form of Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium. Sony unveiled its new smartphone series in IFA 2015 Event, Berlin. Sony also announced that it will globally launch Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact in October 2015 and Z5 Premium in November 2015.
All three smartphone are water resistant and will be the first smartphone devices to use fingerprint sensor for security, which will be integrated with power button at the edge of the phone.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is company’s flagship, which is going to be the first phone to feature 4K UHD display. It boasts a 5.5-inch 4K Triuminos display with screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and has a pixel density of 801 pixels per inch (PPI). The Sony Z5 premium is considered to be expensive of all smartphones available in the market.
The Sony Xperia Z5 comes with FHD 5.2-inch display of 1080 x 1920 pixels screen resolution, on the other hand, Xperia Z5 Compact has the same features and hardware seen in Xperia Z5, but it has HD display of 4.6-inches with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
The new Xperia series features latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, an amazing 23MP sensor with super-fast autofocus technology and interchangeable lens system. The Xperia Z5 series has 1/2.3 Exmor RS and F2.0 G Lens with a 5MP front camera.
All new Xperia series phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Octa Core Processor, which has 3 GB of RAM and has inbuilt storage of 32 GB, which is extendable up to 200 GB via a microSD card.
Also all three phone support Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, which allow its user to get 5.5 hours of usage with 10 minutes of charging, certified by Quick Charge 2.0 charger. The phone also supports different connective options like 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC.
The Sony Xperia Z5 series is powered by 3,430 mAh battery, which will last for at least two days. New Z5 series will be available in different color options like white, yellow, graphite black, and coral. The smartphone also have capless USB and Frosted glass finishing at rear.
Sony Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact are available in single-SIM; whereas, Sony Z5 Premium will be available in both single and dual-SIM variant.
Availability & Price of Sony Xperia Z5 Series
Sony hasn’t revealed the cost of new Z5 series, but it will be globally available from October 2015, and Xperia Z5 Premium will be available from November.
