UPI Circle is a feature that allows a primary user to authorize secondary users to make UPI transactions from their bank account, with a set transaction limit. This can be helpful for family members or dependents who need to manage expenses without requiring access to the primary user’s entire bank account.
Who Can Use UPI Circle?
The primary user must have a UPI account to set up UPI Circle for secondary users, such as trusted contacts like senior citizen parents, teenage kids, etc. The primary user can monitor all activities made through the delegated access.
How to Use UPI Circle
Here are the steps to use UPI Circle:
- Open the BHIM-UPI app and click on ‘UPI Circle’.
- Click on the ‘Add Family or Friends’ button.
- Enter the UPI ID of the secondary user and click on the ‘Add to my UPI Circle’ button.
- Select the access type: ‘spend with limits’ or ‘approve every payment’.
- If you selected ‘spend with limits’, set a predefined limit and the end date of this authorization.
- Enter your UPI PIN to authorize.
The secondary user will now be added to your UPI Circle.
