Vivo V40e Launched in India

Vivo has expanded its V40 series with the launch of the Vivo V40e in India. Positioned as a more affordable option, the Vivo V40e offers a blend of style, performance, and features. Let’s delve into the details of its pricing, specifications, and what sets it apart.

Pricing and Availability

The Vivo V40e is available in two storage variants:

  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: Priced at Rs 28,999
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: Priced at Rs 30,999

The smartphone will go on its first sale on October 2nd, with pre-bookings starting today through various online and offline channels, including Flipkart, Vivo’s online store, retail stores, Reliance Digital, and Croma. Color options include Royal Bronze and Mint Green.

Vivo V40e Specifications

  • Display: The Vivo V40e boasts a 6.77-inch FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
  • Processor: Under the hood, it’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage for efficient performance.
  • Cameras: The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, there’s a 50MP ultra-wide camera for selfies.
  • Battery and Charging: The device houses a substantial 5,500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.
  • Software: It runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box.
  • Other Features: Additional features include IP64 dust and water resistance, an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, and Aura Light for enhancing photos and serving as a notification indicator.

What’s New?

The Vivo V40e succeeds the Vivo V30e that was launched earlier this year. While it retains the slim and light design philosophy, the camera module has been redesigned. It now sports a vertical pill-shaped camera island instead of the circular design seen on its predecessor. The Aura Light feature is carried over.

In terms of hardware, the Vivo V40e gets a significant upgrade with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, replacing the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 found in the V30e. The camera setup and battery capacity remain the same, but the V40e benefits from faster charging capabilities.

Overall, the Vivo V40e presents itself as an attractive mid-range option with its sleek design, capable processor, impressive cameras, and fast charging support.
