After Xiaomi YI action camera launched last year, Xiaomi comes up with another camera, Xiaomi YI 4K action camera in China, at 1199 yuan (Rs. 12,270) As the name suggested the camera support 4k video recording at 30fps.
The camera sports 12 megapixels Sony IMX377l sensor, with f/2.8 aperture. The sensor comes with 155- degree wide angle lens. The device support full HD recording, i.e., 1080p recording at 120fps and capture 720p at 240 frames per second.
Yi 4K features a 2.19-inch touchscreen LCD with 3330 ppi resolution which sports Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. The device uses an Ambarella A9 chipset, which is also in GoPro’s Hero 4 Black Edition.
The action camera packs 1400mAh battery which claims to offer better battery life as compared to GoPro’s Hero4. The company says the new camera can record for more than 2 hours of continuous video recording.
The device supports wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. Other notable specs of the device include a six- axis gyroscope with electronic image stabilisation feature. The camera also comes with dual microphones for better sound quality.
The camera also features a separate app for image and video editing, in time lapse, one can shoot video with an interval from 0.5 seconds to 60 seconds.
The action camera is available in black, white and pink colors, at 1199 yuan. It also offers Bluetooth remote and selfie stick for 1299 yuan. The device is available to pre-order via the third – party online retailer. The worldwide shipping will start in June.
