Airtel Launches In-Flight Roaming Services

Bharti Airtel announced the introduction of in-flight roaming plans for its customers, enabling them to access the internet, make calls, and perform various activities while flying. The service is available for both prepaid and postpaid customers, with plans beginning at Rs. 2997 and Rs. 3999, respectively. Those subscribed to roaming packs of Rs. 2997 for prepaid and Rs. 3999 for postpaid and above will gain the in-flight roaming benefit without extra charges.

Amit Tripathi, Director of Customer Experience and Marketing at Bharti Airtel, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing continuous mobile connectivity. The in-flight roaming packs are designed to offer high-speed internet and voice calling services, enabling passengers to stay in touch with their contacts during flights.

The in-flight offerings include voice, data, and SMS services, with different plans tailored to meet customer needs. These plans are structured as follows for both postpaid and prepaid categories, with offerings ranging from 250 MB to 1 GB of data, 100 minutes of outgoing calls, and 100 SMS, all valid for 24 hours.

To ensure the best in-flight connectivity, Airtel has partnered with Aeromobile, covering 19 airlines that operate across various international sectors. Additionally, Airtel provides round-the-clock customer support through its contact center and a dedicated WhatsApp number, allowing travelers to receive real-time assistance. The Airtel Thanks App also offers customers self-service options for managing data usage, purchasing additional minutes, and viewing billing details in real time.
