At some point in the not too distant future, Apple will add to its already impressive line of iPads.
After the success of the iPad Air 2, it’s inevitable that Apple will follow it up with the iPad Air 3, which will have high expectations among users.
Let’s sift through all the rumors and speculation to see what we can find out about the Apple iPad Air 3.
In the past, Apple has made a habit out of releasing new versions of its iPads in the fall, doing so with the original iPad Air in 2013 and the Air 2 in 2014.
They do this because it works, as a fall release leads to high sales during the Christmas shopping season.
This means that a release date in late October or early November is the most likely scenario for the Air 3.
If you are a betting man, you could set an over/under release date of November 1 for the Air 3, because it’s likely to come out within a week or so on either side of that date.
For its specs and features, the iPad Air 3 is expected to feature an A9X processor, which will be an upgrade over the A8X processor from the Air 2, giving the Air 3 the power to respond faster and allow users to multitask.
There are also reports of the Air 3 featuring 2GB memory, 3GB RAM, as well as a seven-inch screen. The camera on the Air 3 is also expected to show an improvement from the 8MP on the Air 2.
Of course, these improvements and upgrades from the Air 2 will require the iPad Air 3 to also feature a more powerful battery.
One final issue that warrants mentioning is the name of the iPad Air 3.
There have been six previous iPads developed by Apple, making the Air 3 the seventh one to come along.
Thus, Apple may choose to give its new iPad the name iPad 7. Apple has yet to confirm a release date or any of these specs, including its name.
But even so, there is a lot to look forward to with regard to the iPad Air 3.
