This year, the tech giant has launched an array of Pride Edition Sport Bands and a dynamic new watch face for Apple Watch users, demonstrating Apple’s ongoing commitment to diversity and equality.
Celebrating with Style and Technology
The 2024 Pride Edition Sport Band showcases a dazzling array of colors inspired by the iconic Pride flag and additional colors that highlight various LGBTQ+ identities. Black and brown stripes honor the Black and Latinx communities, as well as those affected by HIV/AIDS, while light blue, pink, and white represent the transgender and nonbinary individuals.
Apple has ingeniously integrated these colors into a joyful rainbow of geometric shapes set against a white base. This design isn’t just visually striking; it’s unique to each band due to the compression molding process, ensuring that no two bands are alike—much like the members of the LGBTQ+ community themselves.
Alongside the band, Apple introduces a new Pride Celebration watch face and a dynamic iPhone wallpaper that complements the band’s design. The Pride Edition Sport Band, priced at $49 in the US, will be available for order starting May 23 and in Apple Store locations from May 24. Compatible with Apple Watch Series 3 and later, the band can be matched with the Pride Celebration watch face, which will be available for download through the Apple Watch or on Apple’s website.
